To live in fear or to find courage?

by | Önismeret

You have to make a decision in your life!

There are many life paths. There is no right or wrong path. It is your choice to live in fear or to find courage and move forward into a life where you can be yourself.

Who would have thought that after 30 years, that obedient little girl would turn out to be the opposite of what her environment thought she was?

Thinking back, I had a difficult childhood, and I'm not talking about material well-being, but about bridges, habits. I grew up with the idea that the adult is always right, the boss is always right, you shouldn't go against them. If I tried to stand up for myself because I felt my feelings were hurt or because I felt someone's behaviour was unfair, I got the short end of the stick. As a child I was right for the other person, as a small adult I was right for my superiors, I was punished from all sides just for thinking freely about my life's journey. I thought freely because I had an opinion...

Child Self vs Mature Self

What have I become in my life so far?

"Living in fear" - this feeling permeated my childhood. As a child, I was afraid to speak in front of a crowd, I sweated, my face turned red when I was spoken to.

Today, I have a deep desire to do so, and I like to "perform" for a smaller, larger group. I meet people almost daily and initiate a conversation.

As a child, I remember I couldn't write or express myself well. Today, one of the pleasures of writing is to share my feelings and thoughts. I run a blog and have written for several magazines...(HR&Psychology, Juhhé, Women's Changers, Femcafé etc..)

As a child, I often felt lonely, I felt like I had no friends... It was as if no one understood me. I tried, I tried to please my family, my teachers, my classmates, etc... Today I decided I don't want to please anyone but myself. Life's journey is like a bus/train route... some people get on, some get off and some get back on after a while. You may also have fellow travellers who stay with you. That's how I am with people.... they come, they go, they stay. But I stay on my journey because I have drawn courage from within myself.

What kind of life do you want for yourself, for your child?

The simplest thing I could have done was to leave everything as it is. I could have gone down a life path that would probably have left me unemployed today, at best an Italian language teacher forced to retrain.

But out of curiosity, I read best-selling books, esoterica, as a child. Of course, it wasn't the way to get me on the path I'm on now, but it obviously had an influence. Because something started, a different way of looking at things.

To live in fear or to find courage? Free to think! I would like to point out that the easy way is not always the easier way. But you also don't have to go it alone. You can, for example, find a mentor, coach-t, or attend training courses, lectures, or you can start by reading self-help books.
The main thing is to get started and ask for help if you need it - even from me!

Facing ourselves

I used to be afraid... But I'm really glad I took a (two or three) big breaths and went for it. It would have been better earlier, but the point is that I started. Tomorrow starts today In countless cases, we feel like we've done everything we can to make it better...
