Assassination in education
From education aims to cultivate and develop the child's brain/grey matter and enable him/her to be able to exploit all possibilities. Another task is to ensure that the child is able to make the best use of his or her personality and environment, in short: to thrive in life. The task of education is to guide young people to achieve the best for themselves and society, to create value.
I graduated as a teacher, but I decided that the current system was not fulfilling its role, so I needed to help young people, teachers and parents from another angle.
What does education offer today instead of its real purpose?
Today, public education tries to cram a mass of information and theoretical knowledge into the heads of children and young people. If a student is able to digest or accumulate theoretical, superficial knowledge, he is said to be successful, and grades are used to create a competitive spirit. The current system merely imposes rules on the players in education: students, teachers, parents.
Students are fighting for grades, teachers are caught between two fires, sometimes trying to find ways to fulfil themselves. And parents compete to see who can "elbow" each other more effectively.
So, in fact, education does not give anybody self-actualisation, free thinking, but a role to play for everybody.
Maybe you were born to answer to others? Or were you born to create, to create value, to become a thinking, feeling being, to live a happy life?
The majority of people want to live in happiness. But how can a plant flourish if its growing shoots are constantly being pruned or its roots constantly being cut? Even at the age of ovulation, we are taught in theory to care for living things, to water the flowers, to help them grow in good soil. So I ask why?
Why does education say in theory what is necessary for development and then in practice do the exact opposite. Is it any wonder that school psychologists are no longer able to serve their clients in a timely manner? Has the education system done so much damage?
"Let's improve the technology", I hear from many. Technology is a tool, not a method.
Finding a way out in today's education system
It is no coincidence that a process started a few years ago, with parents and teachers looking for a way out. Private school networks and homeschool groups were formed. The only thing that these initiatives are trying to achieve is the self-fulfilment of the individual.
According to some statistics, there are already 15,000 children in private tutoring. Currently, more than 700 teaching posts are vacant because today's young people, who are about to make a career choice, have lost interest in teaching because they have already experienced the profession first hand. Many teachers are disillusioned and have lost enthusiasm.
Are you surprised that you can't handle today's students? How could they, since university does not provide practical solutions and guidance for the new generations. The focus is on people skills, soul and personal development. Is administration more of a concern, and is this to be exacerbated by the present Education Act?
It makes me wonder what the purpose of reforming the status of private tutors is when they cannot cater for 15,000 children because there is neither space nor teachers. And what will happen to those children who are able to fulfil their potential in the private tutor status, so that they can achieve their maximum potential? If they are placed in the "normal" system, will they simply be lost, because they do not get the attention they need, the teaching method is not (even) appropriate for them? Worse, are they labelled "stupid", "unmanageable"...?
When the citizens of a state change their mindset to their advantage, it has a positive impact on all actors in the economy. This is reflected in people's attitudes and actions. They perform better in all areas of life because they use the full range of their abilities. This will make the country better leaders, better scientists, better people. People will be happier and more peaceful in their personalities.
Let's look back a few thousand years: even in antiquity, wisdom, knowledge, creativity, free thinking led man forward... why are we raising a military state, training nodding Johns?
Where did my approach come from?
Who am Ithat I'm dealing with this, that I'm philosophising, writing with concern, asking these questions?
I'm an educator, parent, career counsellor, HR professional, business coach, who cares about the personality of the individual, whether they are a business leader, a job seeker or an education professional. I am someone who helps and supports those who are looking for a way out. I am a believer in free and peaceful, creative thinking. A person who teaches that an accepting, humane, lovable happy life can be lived by all.
Let's look at the labour market!
My experience so far is that whether you are a jobseeker, entrepreneur or teacher, you see no way out, you see no hope of dealing with the situation in the way you want to. They live in fear, often not daring to admit to themselves who they really are.
Do you, dear reader, remember as a child what you wanted to be when you grew up?
I imagined a world of peace and love and good life..
Do you want to be happy, to be doing what you love to do every day, what you want to do, what you want to do?
To live in material and spiritual abundance? Is that what you want?
It's up to you! Let's save the purpose of education, its mission, the rising generation... let's make the country better, more lovable, more human...
